Fundraising

Why We Need Your Support

Fundraising at Wedgwood Co-op is essential in upholding our values of inclusivity and equity. Our cooperative model keeps tuition costs low, but we don't want finances to be a barrier for any family who wants to be a part of our amazing community. Much of what we fundraise goes directly to PAC and in-house scholarships. (Find more info about scholarships here.) Some money raised also goes towards enrichment activities for our students and occasional donations made by our all-school board to organizations like PAC.

How Much Families Must Raise

We ask that families annually raise the equivalent of one month's tuition for each child enrolled. This amount is not tracked. We ask that families do their best to support the values mentioned above. Our school holds multiple, popular fundraising events to help families with this.

How to Participate

There are several ways to participate in fundraising at Wedgwood Cooperative Preschool.

Fall Fundraiser

Every autumn, our fundraising committee puts together our fall fundraiser. Items that have been sold in the past include Theo Chocolate, Caffé Umbria coffee, Rishi Tea, Wedgwood t-shirts, and more. This is an easy way to raise some money for the school and get some holiday shopping done at the same time.

Spring Silent Auction

This is our most important and popular fundraising event. Items are donated from our community and solicited from local businesses. Bidding takes place silently before the April All-School Meeting (and is a fun night out with fellow Wedgwood Co-op parents!).

Shopping Programs

Fundraise as you shop:
  • Fred Meyer: Link your Fred Meyers Reward card. You still get the rewards, but Wedgwood gets a portion. We can earn a percentage of their annual school donations, depending on the amount of qualifying purchases made. The steps are very simple and just require you to enter your contact information, group ID and your card number. The group ID for Fred Meyer is 80880. www.fredmeyer.com/communityreward
  • Benefit App Gift cards: You buy gift certificates through the app, then use them to shop or share the gift card. Our school gets a percentage of everything you buy from their very, very long list of retailers. (REI, Lowe’s, Starbucks, Safeway, The North Face, Gap, Nordstrom’s, Amazon, just to name a few.) Donations
As a non-profit organization, Wedgwood Co-op accepts and greatly appreciates any tax deductible donations. Our Treasurer will send you a receipt with our tax ID number if requested.

If you would like to make a tax deductible donation, please donate via Jovial or write a check to Wedgwood Cooperative Preschool, with "Scholarship Fund Donation" on the memo line of the check and send to:

All School Treasurer
Wedgwood Cooperative Preschool

Seattle, WA 98115

Many large employers offer to match your charitable donations. This can double the value of gifts and donations from co-op friends and family. Families who make donations to Wedgwood Cooperative preschool should first check whether their employer will match their donation.

If you have any questions please contact the All-School Fundraising Chair at

Ways to Support PAC

Support the Scholarship Fund
The NSC Cooperative Preschool PAC Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to families who need help paying for preschool. Qualifying families may receive up to 50% of their co-op tuition costs. Each year, around 80 families, or 10% of our co-op population, are helped in this way. 100% of the money raised for the scholarship fund goes to tuition assistance. Our requests for scholarship funds continue to increase each year.
For more information click here.

If you would like to make a tax deductible donation, please send a check made payable to PAC, with "Scholarship Fund" on the memo line of the check and send to:

Parent Advisory Council, Parent Education Program
North Seattle Community College
9600 College Way North
Seattle, WA 98103
