Open registration occurs at the Co-op Preschool Carnival event held at North Seattle College on February 1st, 2020 from 9:30AM to 11:30AM. At the Preschool Carnival/Open Registration event, each co-op will collect a list of people who complete an application for their co-op. Then each co-op will lottery those applications with other applications they received that are eligible for space during this open registration window. Attending the carnival is not a requirement; it will be a fun and family friendly event that everyone is welcome to attend. These dates are the same for all the cooperative preschools connected to North Seattle College.
CLASS OBSERVATIONS/OPEN HOUSE REQUIREMENTS: Please note that you must observe the class or attend an open house (Jan 25, 2020) to be eligible for enrolment (note: this may be waived if you have already participated in class with the same teacher).
Please also note that you are not enrolled until a spot is offered to you AND your registration fee has been collected. The registration fee is $40 per student. Your registration fee must be paid within two days of notification of a spot being offered to you. Once a spot has been offered, payment can be made via our Jovial system, or a check payment given to your class registrar, or to the All-School Treasurer. Checks will only be deposited after spots have been offered. Any check should include the name of the student and the class in which they are being registered.
Co-op is a hands-on activity, and we want you to know what you're signing up for. We request that you tour the school, meet the teacher and have a chance to ask other parents any questions you may have.Observations occur during regular class time by appointment only and must be arranged in advance (or you may attend an open house event on Jan 25, 2020). But if you tour during class time we ask that you leave your child(ren) at home (except babes-in-arms), as they won't be able to participate in the classroom and the school's insurance only covers enrolled students.
Scholarships are available through the NSC Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) and through Wedgwood Co-op.
To ask questions or arrange an observation/tour, please contact the registrar of the class you're interested in:
